Irish Heart Foundation – HeartSaver and CPR/AED courses
These courses are intended for anyone looking to gain first-hand knowledge and practical experience in delivering CPR using an AED. Course duration ranges from 2–4 hours, depending on specific requirements. Training can be delivered at your workplace.
IHF and/or PHECC CPR-C certification options are available. Class sizes are kept small to support a more tailored learning environment.
PHECC First Aid Response (FAR) – the standand in many Irish industries
This three-day course, or two-day refresher course, is aimed at people looking to gain a more comprehensive understanding of how to respond to emergency situations. It includes CPR, AED training and the development of essential first aid knowledge and skills.
Training can be delivered at your workplace. PHECC FAR certification is awarded to successful participants. Class sizes are kept small to support a more tailored learning environment.
HSI – Health & Safety Institute
For those seeking internationally recognised training, HSI (Health & Safety Institute) courses are also available.
The goal of the HSI Pediatric First Aid | CPR AED training programme is to help participants gain or improve their knowledge and practical skills in paediatric first aid and/or CPR and AED use for adults, children and infants.
Pediatric First Aid | CPR AED reflects resuscitation science and treatment recommendations published by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR). It also conforms with the 2025 American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC and the annual Guidelines Update.
The course includes flexible instructional tools to help participants develop proficiency through demonstrations and guided practice, including scenario-based problem-solving exercises with feedback.
